ABOUT JOHN KURC
As a wedding and concert photographer, John Kurc was shooting the Rolling Stones in Phoenix, Arizona in the summer of 2019 when he took a detour to the US/Mexico border to have lunch. There, John was shocked by what he saw.
After COVID abruptly ended his photography business, and motivated by what he had witnessed on the border that day, he decided to turn towards making a difference with his camera. He returned to Southern Arizona and began investigating and documenting the construction of the Trump border wall.
Beyond the pulverized desert landscape and horrific impact on wildlife migration, John has also found a web of international crimes, illegal mishandling of billions of taxpayer dollars, families being separated across the border, and inhumane treatment of immigrants.
John believes that even if the border construction stops with the new administration, the work in bringing these crimes to justice has just begun. As a sole witness capturing the devastating events unfolding daily, both with still photography and drone video footage, John wants to continue documenting the ecocide but does need some financial support.
John is quickly working towards setting up a channel for tax-deductible donations with the hope that before his savings have run out he will receive enough support to follow these events through to reversal, removal, and restitution.
If you can personally support John, please make a TAX DEDUCTIBLE contribution through the portal above.

• John is in dire need of “nuts and bolts” basics, such as a rental four-wheel-drive vehicle, a few nights in a hotel, or even covering the cost of a hotspot for cell service.
John is willing to share the exact ways in which he is using any received funds through an open book accounting portal.
He is open to ideas so please feel free to email him here: firstname.lastname@example.org
